Keep up with Kitchen by following us on Facebook and Instagram!
As a new restaurant, we are constantly brainstorming ways to improve your dining experience. Sometimes it's a limited-time opportunity like our soup of the day or Chef's Special. Other times it's a more longterm change, like an addition to our regular menu or upgraded feature in our dining room. And sometimes we just have some exciting photos to remind you about what we've been doing all along! Whatever we're up to, we want you to be in the loop.
One more reason to follow us on on social media...
This month we are running a sweet giveaway on Instagram. All you have to do is (1) like our post from March 11, (2) follow our account, and (3) tag 3 friends who would join you for some pizza and pasta. Complete all three steps by 11:59pm on Wednesday, March 18 and we'll enter your name in a drawing for a chance to win a $25 gift card, valid for any purchase.
This offer is available only for Instagram users. If you aren't on Instagram, we hope to soon be running more promotions via Facebook and possibly the local Valley Reporter. Keep your eyes peeled!
If you're not into Instagram or Facebook, you can still give the gift of great food by purchasing our gift cards in person for whatever amount feels right. Perfect for birthdays, holidays, weddings, or any other occasion when you want to let us do the cooking for a night.

Of course, if you have any questions about the food we serve or how we serve it, always feel free to visit us at 4752 Main Street in Waitsfield, Vermont or call us at 802-496-7644.
When we opened Kitchen, one of our guiding goals was to offer family-friendly food at family-friendly prices to Waitsfield and the Mad River Valley. Our main menu is short and to the point, but also filled with dishes that hit the spot for all ages. Whether you're a connoisseur of comfort food or just trying to take something home for the kids, we know you'll enjoy our tried-and-true appetizers (think Chicken Wings), salads (Caesar anyone?), pizzas (can't go wrong with Margherita and Crispy Pepperoni), and pastas (beloved Chicken and Eggplant Parmesan). Now that we've got the basics covered, we are excited to have started offering specials to those with a more adventurous palate or a different dining routine.
Kids' Menu: Hurry while it lasts! We recently added a full kids' menu, and to celebrate we wanted kids to eat free for the month of February. The kids' menu features smaller portion sizes and only the most essential options for easy pleasing. Available every day for kids age 10 and under. Get them free Monday-Thursday when you dine in with the purchase of any “adult” pizza and pasta! Check out the full Kid's Menu here.
Appy Hour: Vermont law says no discount alcoholic beverages during Happy Hour, but we'll happily discount our appetizers for Appy Hour! Every day from 4-5pm and 9-10pm we reward early birds and night owls with half-prize on all appetizers and deals on select pies. This deal is available for any in-house order with the purchase of a beer or wine from the bar. See the full Appy Hour menu here.
Daily Specials: If you love our style but are craving something new, this is your chance! Our chefs are wizards with pizzas, pastas, and salads, so we almost always have at least two specials on the board. Some our recent favorites have included Shrimp Scampi, Italian Pork Gnocchi, Maple Shrimp Salad, Pesto Penne, a Buffalo Pork Pizza, and a Meatball Calzone. Specials only ever last a few days, so be sure to call 802-496-7644 or follow us on Instagram and Facebook @kitchenpizzapasta.
Special Soups: We serve soup! Get it in a cup or a bowl, for here or to go. If you want even more, we sell our soups refrigerated by the quart so you can cook it at home. Past soups have included Cream of Tomato, Chicken Florentine, Chicken Noodle, Mediterranean Sausage & White Bean, and Spicy Pork Chili. We run soups until they run out, so check our board often!
Dessert: The perfect way to celebrate a birthday, anniversary, or just treat yourself. We are now serving cannolis with our own house filling; creamy, chocolatey, espresso-y tiramisu; and local maple walnut and vanilla bean ice cream straight from Island Ice Cream in Grand Isle, Vermont.
Since opening our doors, we have received a lot of positive feedback on our Italian-inspired menu. While we are proud of every pizza, pasta, salad, and appetizer we have on the menu, we are here for your enjoyment and are always happy to hear ways we can improve. Here are some of the changes we have enacted since Menu 1.0:
Eggplant Parmesan: One of the most widely requested items since our opening, eggplant parm is now on the menu! Hearty slices of eggplant are baked with layers of shredded parmesan cheese, then served on a bed of fresh spaghetti. (Pictured Above)
Garlic Bread: We started off making baguettes for our delicious Baked Goat Cheese and Red Sauce appetizer. Our fresh-baked bread was such a hit that we started slathering it in garlic butter and added it to the menu as the perfect starter or addition to your pizza and pasta feast.
Kids' Pasta: We are now offering a kid-friendly portion of pasta for just $8. It comes with spaghetti and red sauce, but we can easily leave off the sauce, mix in a pat of butter, or substitute penne pasta.
Cannolis: Dessert is on the menu!
Mild Meatballs: Our award-winning Spicy Pork Meatballs come loaded with cayenne and red pepper flakes. While some of us live for the thrill of spice, we completely understand that some palettes like it mild. Our appetizer, spaghetti and meatball dish, and pizza topping now come with a choice of spicy or mild.
Meatball Toppings: Speaking of meatballs, we unfortunately had to raise the price of adding meatballs to pizza. Originally $1, please note that we are now charging $4 to add a plentiful portion of chopped meatballs to any pizza.
Wings Confit: Our Twice-Baked Wings, as the name implies, are baked instead of fried. While this retains more of their savory taste and tender texture, our wings may not be as crispy as you are expecting. To add a little more of that satisfying crunch, we now prepare our wings confit in bacon fat.
Vegetable Lasagna: Discontinued. With all these exciting additions, we are sad to see our vegetable lasagna go. If you are hankering for layers of pasta and ricotta, try our Beef Lasagna! For a vegetarian pasta option, we recommend our new Eggplant Parmesan or Fettuccine Alfredo.
Paper copies of our original menu are in wide circulation, and we want to keep you informed with the most up-to-date information for when you place your next order. Thank you again for all your feedback, we look forward to serving you soon!
We’re open! Kitchen officially fired up the ovens on December 12, 2019, and we are thrilled with the amount of support we have received in just our first month. If you have already come down for dinner, we are grateful to you for venturing beyond the Mad River Valley’s established culinary gems. If you have yet to try our Italian-inspired menu, we look forward to serving you soon!
Kitchen is located on route 100 in Waitsfield, in the same space as Toast & Eggs. Not replacing it, not beside nor behind it. The exact same space! Many of our dishes are prepared by the exact same cooks, and our recipes are all crafted by the same acclaimed chef Brian Lewis. So if you have been wowed by any of his delicious breakfast plates, baked goods, or lunch sandwiches over the past year, you can expect the same fresh ingredients and artisan quality from Kitchen.
Expanding from breakfast into dinner meant more than just swapping out donuts for pizza dough. Toast & Eggs shut down for two weeks so that we could add new features to the dining area, new equipment in the kitchen, and new recipes to the wheelhouse. The most exciting addition is a bar; complete with four draft lines, a brew-stocked ruby-red fridge, and a focused selection of wines. We also added a cozy window nook with seating for two, and moved the order counter so there is more space when you walk in the door. Behind the scenes, we installed more refrigerated space and a full prep room so that we have food and drink to serve from 6am-10pm, seven days of the week.
And as for those recipes! Our dinner menu is simple yet satisfying. Our appetizers range from chicken wings to roasted Brussels sprouts. Keep it light with salads like our classic Caesar or fill up on our hearty chicken parmesan, lasagna, spaghetti and meatballs, and fettuccine Alfredo. For pizzas we devised our own signature crust, thin but not too thin. You can order staples like Crispy Pepperoni and creative masterpieces like the Breakfast for Dinner, or start with a plain cheese pizza and build your own.
If you’re in the mood for food that will hit the spot after skiing, riding, biking, hiking, or just heading home from work, Kitchen has you covered. Gather friends and family to enjoy our casual dining atmosphere, or order take-out to eat in the comfort of home. And when winter weather has you tucked in by the fireplace, we offer delivery service on weekends!
Thank you for checking out Kitchen. We hope to see you soon!
